Le Nozze di Figaro | Susanna
Joanna Kim will perform the role of Susanna in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro at the historic Teatro B. Asioli as part of the Regium Lepidi Opera Festival, running from July 15 to August 3. This full production will feature a live orchestra and promises a rich, immersive operatic experience.
NATS Young Artist Audition Winner Recital
NATS-Los Angeles sponsors this recital in honor of Joanna Kim, first-place winner of the Gwendolyn Roberts Young Artist Auditions, which recognize outstanding emerging vocal talent.
The Date is to be set in the Fall of 2025.
Verdi Marathon
Hosted by Director Mirko Matarazzo, this special evening celebrates the music of Giuseppe Verdi with a selection of his most beloved works. Kim will perform the iconic quartet and duet from Rigoletto, along with featured arias. The concert takes place in the historic hometown of Maestro Verdi, honoring his enduring legacy where it all began.
Master Class by Terrance McNally
Joanna Kim will play Sophie in Terrence McNally's Tony Award-winning play Master Class. Directed by Tim Dang, this powerful drama explores the life and legacy of opera legend Maria Callas through her interactions with aspiring young singers in a voice masterclass.
Into the Woods | Cinderella
Kim will perform the role of Cinderella in Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods with Opera North in New Hampshire. This whimsical production will take place under a circus tent in scenic Cornish, New Hampshire.
Rigoletto | Gilda (cover)/Countess Ceprano/Page
Kim will sing the role of Countess Ceprano in all performances of Rigoletto with Opera North and serves as the cover for Gilda. She also jumped in as the Page during the run. Conducted by Maestro Louis Burkot, this production takes place in Opera North’s signature circus tent in Cornish, New Hampshire
Orphée aux enfers | Diane
As a Resident Artist with Opera North, Kim will sing the role of Diane in Offenbach’s Orphée aux enfers. Directed by David Ronis with choreography by Kurt Domoney and conducted by Maestro Louis Burkot, this vibrant production will be performed under Opera North’s iconic circus tent in Cornish, New Hampshire.
